Awareness and healthcare programme for young girls in rural and undeveloped areas who are not familiar enough with menstrual health and hygiene. We spread awareness among them about the disadvantages and health hazards that can happen by the use of normal fabric. We also provide them with access to menstrual hygiene products at their localities. We also provide them with basic menstrual hygiene education.
V CARE WOMEN HEALTH AND EDUCATION TRUST distributes sanitary napkins and other menstrual hygiene products along with the awareness about it to a great number of young girls in various drives. Not only during the pandemic, we continue the distribution of sanitary napkins to the underprivileged and unaware community regardless of caste and creed. Menstruation is still considered as something taboo to talk about in many parts of our country which causes stigma in addition to many misconceptions and myths around it in our surroundings.
V CARE WOMEN HEALTH AND EDUCATION TRUST considers it as our responsibility to empower women and make them aware in India about menstruation and are expecting to give an end to period poverty in India.
